Collaborative Research and Training Experience (CREATE) in Computational Agriculture
The objective of the CREATE in Computational Agriculture is to train graduate students at the intersection of Computer Science and Plant Sciences. The program runs for six year (2024-2030).
Core components of the training program include:
- A new graduate course in Computational Agriculture
- Deep cross-discipline training in Computer/Plant Science
- Team Projects
- Field Days, Cloud Days, Lab/Facility Tours
The training program will host new workshops and events, including:
- AgTech Intellectual Property workshop
- Managing Agricultural Data workshop
Trainees will also participate in:
- Professional rotations at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada
- Mitacs internships at agricultural technology companies
